The Certified Nursing Assistant In-Person Daytime or Evening Course approved by the Ohio Department of Health is a 75-hour course completed 100% in-person. Students can graduate and obtain their course certification in less than 3 weeks. This course consists of 59 hours of didactic studies, 19 hours of hands-on laboratory skills, and 16 hours of hands-on clinical experiences. Long-term care facilities are utilized for the clinical component.
Students are eligible to sit for the Ohio CNA exam after successful completion of this course.
16 years and older, Daytime or Evening, Payment Plans and Tuition Assistance are available.
Course Objectives
- Recognize the role of the nurse aide in the healthcare system.
- Identify the observations by the nurse aide to be reported to the nurse.
- Demonstrate expected professionalism when communicating with the healthcare team.
- Discuss the rights of the resident.
- Demonstrate expected delivery of care when tasks are appropriately delegated by the nurse.
