This course is offered to both healthcare workers and non-healthcare workers who provide care to individuals requiring assistance with feeding and nutrition. You will learn safe practices with a focus on nutrition, communication, resident rights, safety, and safe feeding techniques. This class is only offered for 1 weekend each month. You can earn this certification in 9 hours. The Saturday class will complete 8 hours of In-person lecture and then return Sunday for 1 hour of clinical experience at a long term care facility where you will have hands-on experience feeding individuals that require assistance.
